Wixhausen Village Museum
Housed in a Franconian timbered house, the museum of the protestant parish of Wixhausen, Darmstadt's most northerly district, is a record of how people used to live and work. Daily life in the 18th and 19th century is portrayed through three display workshops, household articles, toys and photographs.
The Wixhausen Village Museum starts the season at the beginning of April. Until the first Sunday in October (Thanksgiving Day), the museum is generally open for events as "Back und Schnack", the Kerb and the Kelterfest. Exact dates can be found on the website.
